Terms & Conditions

Effective Date: 19th August 2025

The EZO Charging Network is operated by EZO Charging Limited Group, a network of electric vehicle charge points which we make available to our subscribers (“you”).

The EZO Charging Network consists of a mix of free-to-use and paid charge points, which can be accessed using an RFID Access Card/Fob or the EZO Mobile App.

These are the terms and conditions you agree to by signing up as a subscriber of the EZO Charging Network.

1. TERM INFORMATION

1.1 Definitions. Definitions used in these Terms are listed in Part 1 of the Schedule at the end of this document.

1.2 Scope. These Terms and Conditions govern the supply of Services to you.

1.3 Please Read Carefully. These terms outline who we are, how we provide Services, your rights, how either party may end the Contract, and how to resolve issues. If you have questions, please contact us.

 

2. INFORMATION ABOUT US AND CONTACT

2.1 About Us. We are EZO Charging Limited Group, registered in Ireland (Company No. 630315) with our office at G11, Maynooth Business Campus, Maynooth, Co. Kildare. VAT No: 3689441HH.

2.3 Our Role. We operate as a CPO (Charge Point Operator) of the EZO Charging Network across Ireland and Northern Ireland.

2.4 How We Contact You. Via the phone number, email, or postal address you provided upon signing up.

                                                                                                                                        

3. CONTRACT WITH YOU

3.1 Formation. By registering via EZO.ie or EZO.co.uk, you accept these terms and a Contract is formed between us.

3.2 If We Cannot Accept You. We’ll notify you if we cannot provide Services. You won’t be charged in such cases.

3.3 Updates. We may amend these terms with at least 30 days’ notice before changes take effect.

 

4. SERVICES

4.1 Illustrations. Images on our site are for illustrative purposes only.

4.2 Duration. Services are supplied for the duration of the Contract, which may end under conditions 8 or 10.

4.3 Availability. We strive to maintain service availability, but delays or outages may occur. Always check the EZO App.

4.4 Outages Beyond Our Control. If a delay or outage is due to external factors, we’re not liable but will try to mitigate the impact.

4.5 Required Information. You must provide necessary information (e.g., for GoCardless registration). Failure may result in service suspension or termination.

 

5. SERVICE ISSUES

5.1 Reporting Problems. Please contact us promptly if issues arise.

5.3 Third-Party Ownership. Most charge points are third-party owned. We make no warranties regarding their operation.

5.4 Legal Rights. These terms do not affect your statutory consumer rights.

 

6. SERVICE CHANGES

6.1 Your Requests. Contact us to request changes. We’ll confirm if they’re possible and any implications.

6.2 Minor Changes. We may make minor legal or technical changes without impacting your usage.

6.3 Major Changes. We’ll notify you of significant changes. You may terminate the contract before they take effect.

 

7. SERVICE SUSPENSION

7.1 Reasons for Suspension. We may suspend services to:

  • Fix technical issues
  • Update for legal compliance
  • Perform requested changes
  • Improve our services

7.2 Your Rights. If suspension exceeds 6 months, you may terminate the Contract and receive a refund for unused Services.

7.3 Non-Payment. If you do not pay on time, we may suspend services and charge a €10.00 admin fee (see 11.9).

 

8. ENDING THE CONTRACT

8.1 Your Right to Terminate. You can cancel immediately if:

  • You disagree with a proposed change
  • We made an error in pricing or description
  • Service delays exceed 6 months
  • We suspend service for over 6 months
  • We breach the contract

8.2 Cooling-Off Period. You can cancel within 14 days of signing up unless services have already started.

8.3 Timeframe. You have 14 days to change your mind. If services have started, partial charges may apply.

8.4 No Right to Cancel After Use. Once charging begins or access is granted to online services, cancellation rights end.

8.5 Termination Without Cause. You can end the contract with 1 month’s notice.

 

9. HOW TO CANCEL

9.1 To Cancel:

    Include your name, address, contact details, and Service information.

9.2 Return of Cards. Stop using your RFID card/fob after cancellation. Charges still apply if used post-termination.

9.3 Refunds. We’ll refund amounts due (excluding non-refundable administration fees) within 14 days.

 

10. OUR RIGHT TO TERMINATE

10.1 Grounds for Termination:

  • Non-payment (after 14 days’ notice)
  • Failure to provide required information

10.2 Compensation. You may be charged for costs incurred if you breach the Contract.

10.3 Service Withdrawal. We may cease providing Services with 1 month’s notice and refund unused prepayments (excluding non-refundable fees).

 

11. FEES & PAYMENT

11.1 Charges.

  • €6.00 fee per RFID card/fob
  • All charges include VAT

11.2 VAT Changes. Adjustments apply if VAT rates change after you’ve signed up.

11.3 Price Errors. We strive for accuracy but may correct mispriced services.

11.4 Charge Point Rates. Owners set rates; they may round to the nearest kWh.

11.5 Payment Setup. Register and provide payment details through EZO. EZO App defaults to Pay-as-you-go contract, called EZO Charge&Go. Contact us to switch to Prepaid (called EZO Wallet).

11.6 Credit Card Terminals. €20.00 pre-authorisation applies. The difference is refunded within 24 hours.

11.7 Disputes. If you dispute charges, contact us promptly. Admin fees are paused during resolution.

 

12. LIABILITY

12.1 Foreseeable Losses. We are liable for foreseeable damage caused by breach of contract or negligence, but not for indirect or business-related losses.

12.2 No Limitation Where Illegal. We do not limit liability for death, personal injury, fraud, or other statutory rights.

12.3 Consumer Use Only. Services are for private use. We are not liable for business losses.

 

13. YOUR DATA

13.1 Data Use. We collect and process your personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy [Privacy Policy – EasyGo]. This includes data such as name, contact details, location, usage history and payment information. We process this data to:

  • Deliver services to you
  • Administer your account and payments
  • Monitor network performance and service usage
  • Respond to support requests
  • Comply with our legal obligations

13.2  Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR Art. 6)

  • Contract (to deliver your services)
  • Legal obligation (billing, VAT compliance)
  • Legitimate interests (network optimisation, fraud prevention)

 

You have rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 and the Irish Data Protection Act 2018, including access, rectification, erasure, and objection to processing. For more information, see our full Privacy Policy [Privacy Policy – EasyGo].

 

14. OTHER LEGAL TERMS

14.1 Assignment. We may transfer this contract to another organisation. You’ll be notified in advance.

14.2 Your Rights. You may not transfer your rights without our written consent.

14.3 Third Parties. No third party has rights under this agreement.

14.4 Legal Jurisdiction. These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ireland.

 

Schedule – Part 1: Definitions

  • Account Card: RFID card or fob linked to your account.
  • App: The EZO mobile application.
  • Charges: Fees for using charge points.
  • Charge Point: EV charging station within the EZO or Roaming Network.
  • Contract: Agreement formed when you accept these terms.
  • CPO: Charge Point Operator.
  • Online Services: Account and usage management via our website.
  • GoCardless: Payment service provider.
  • Charging Services: Use of a charge point for EV recharging.
  • Services: Website, App, Account Card, Charging, and Online Services.
  • User: Someone who signs up through the EZO platform.
