EZO and Vintners Federation of Ireland Partner to Expand EV Charging at Pubs Nationwide 

EZO, Ireland’s largest private electric vehicle (EV) charging networks, has today announced a new partnership with the Vintners Federation of Ireland (VFI) to support the rollout of EV charging infrastructure across pubs nationwide. 

The collaboration will give VFI members access to EZO’s fully managed charging solution, enabling pubs to offer convenient on-site charging as part of Ireland’s expanding EV network. 

EZO currently operates 3,610 charge points across Ireland, while the VFI represents 3,100 publicans nationwide, making this a significant collaboration in the hospitality sector. 

 

Meeting growing demand 

With the number of electric vehicles on Irish roads continuing to rise, drivers are increasingly planning journeys around accessible and reliable charging points. Hospitality venues are playing an increasingly important role in this shift, offering locations where people can stop and spend time while charging. 

This partnership positions pubs at the centre of that evolving network, both in urban and rural areas, as well as along key travel routes. 

A natural fit for pubs and communities 

As long-established social hubs within towns and villages, pubs are well placed to support changing travel patterns while continuing to serve their local communities.

Supporting a national transition 

The partnership will begin with site assessments and engagement with participating venues, identifying suitable locations for future EV charging installation. EZO will deliver a fully managed service, including installation, maintenance and operation. 

The partnership reflects a broader shift in how drivers interact with destinations, as EV charging becomes an increasingly integrated part of day-to-day travel.
