Electrician
We are looking for a motivated, reliable and safety-focused Qualified Electrician to carry out the installation, commissioning, maintenance and servicing of EV charging equipment across Ireland.The successful candidate will work on a variety of domestic, commercial and public EV charging projects, travelling to customer sites nationwide.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, wire and commission EV charging units in accordance with manufacturer specifications and relevant electrical standards.
- Carry out electrical testing, fault finding and remedial works.
- Complete domestic, commercial and public EV charger installations.
- Assess electrical installations and identify any upgrades or remedial works required.
- Install associated electrical infrastructure, including cabling, containment, protection and distribution equipment.
- Diagnose and resolve faults with EV charging equipment and associated electrical systems.
- Complete installation documentation, test certificates and site reports accurately.
- Liaise professionally with customers, site managers and other contractors.
- Maintain high standards of workmanship, cleanliness and customer service.
- Follow all company health & safety procedures and electrical regulations.
- Represent the company professionally while working on customer sites.
- Travel nationwide as required.
Requirements
Essential:
- Fully qualified electrician with recognised Irish electrical qualifications.
- Demonstrable experience in electrical installation and maintenance.
- Strong understanding of electrical safety and testing procedures.
- Full clean driving licence.
- Ability and willingness to travel nationwide.
- Good fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently while also being part of a growing team.
- Professional and customer-focused approach.
Desirable:
- Previous experience installing EV chargers.
- Experience with domestic, commercial or industrial electrical installations.
- Knowledge of EV charging systems and associated electrical infrastructure.
- Experience with solar PV, battery storage or other renewable-energy technologies.
- Relevant EV charging or manufacturer-specific training/certification.
